Sustainability agenda

Global driver for low-carbon heating and cooling

Sustainability is an integral part of Beijer Ref's global operations and affects everything from business model and strategy to organisation and product range.

Beijer Ref endeavours to reduce its climate impact, maintain high standards of business ethics and promote a safe and inclusive workplace. The Group actively drives its agenda in these areas and the Board of Directors has set clear sustainability targets as part of the management incentive programme.

Beijer Ref's sustainability strategy is based on the Group's history, vision, business concept and values. The operations work actively to contribute to several of the 17 global goals in Agenda 2030. Of particular importance to the Group's business are the goals linked to the five focus areas in which Beijer Ref's sustainability work is carried out.

People and talent management

We provide information and activities to increase the proportion of women in leadership positions and positively influence diversity at all levels.

Responsible supply chain

Health and safety and good labour conditions are priority areas. Through our Code of Conduct, we set requirements for suppliers. Through good products and clear installation instructions, we take responsibility for our customers' working environment.

Green products

We share our expertise on environmentally friendly refrigerants within the Group and with our customers. We dedicate resources to train our customers, suppliers and employees on environmentally friendly refrigeration technologies to drive the transition forward.

Reduce greenhouse gas footprint

Beijer Ref works actively to minimise its climate impact and that of the industry. Through the development and manufacture of refrigeration technology based on natural refrigerants, we contribute to reducing emissions of environmentally harmful HFC gases.

Ethical operations

We operate with high ethical and moral standards and have zero tolerance for bribery and unethical behaviour. Ethical guidelines have been developed and all employees must comply with them. All employees must complete our business ethics training programme.
