About Beijer Ref

Five strategic focus areas

Beijer Ref will strengthen its position as a global leader by growing faster than the market. The strategy focuses on five key areas: Acquisitions, OEM, Supply Chain, Digitalization and Sustainability.

Beijer Ref has a clear goal - to strengthen its position as a world-leading player. To achieve this goal, Beijer Ref needs to grow faster than the market. Therefore, the business works according to a strategy that is divided into five focus areas: Acquisitions, OEM, Supply Chain, Digitalization and Sustainability.

Acquisitions

The market is currently fragmented and consists mainly of local players. Beijer Ref is working actively to consolidate the market and has made around 60 acquisitions since 2000. Synergies are mainly achieved in purchasing, distribution and support functions.

Own manufacturing - OEM

Beijer Ref also designs and builds complete refrigeration systems, chillers and heat pumps with an environmentally friendly profile, known as OEM. The business has today established such operations in Europe, Asia and Africa. The aim is to continue to develop modern, environmentally friendly technology to replace products that use refrigerants with high GWP values (Global Warming Potential).

Digitalisation

To achieve higher efficiency, Beijer Ref works continuously with digitization at various levels. The existing e-commerce platform and business support system are gradually being expanded. Digitalisation will lead to new business opportunities, higher delivery quality and cost savings.

Sustainability

Beijer Ref works strategically with sustainability and has selected focus areas where the Group believes that the company can make the greatest difference. Based on the UN's global goals in Agenda 2030, the Group has created a framework for environmental and CSR issues that are implemented at local level by the Group's subsidiaries.

Supply chain

For a trading group, purchasing is an important strategic cornerstone. Over the years, Beijer Ref has created an efficient procurement structure at both central and local level, which provides synergy effects and a competitive price level. The logistics and distribution chain is under constant development to achieve maximum efficiency and delivery reliability. Today, the Group has more than 40 local logistics centers and 500+ branches, providing quick access to spare parts for service, maintenance and repair.
