The new three-year agreement covers the production and distribution of sustainable refrigeration solutions on a global scale

October 2023 – Embraco, a global provider of refrigeration technology and a portfolio brand of Nidec Global Appliance, and Beijer Ref, a leading wholesaler of cooling technologies and air conditioning, have announced a new three-year partnership renewal. First established in 2015, the long-standing alliance aims to strengthen their position in the wholesaling business and boost the distribution of a complete refrigeration portfolio on a global scale.

Embraco’s brand solutions for commercial and residential refrigeration are sold in 90 countries, and the Beijer Ref Group has over 150 subsidiaries and 500 branches in 45 countries.

“Since the beginning of the agreement, Embraco and Beijer Ref have experienced significant business growth across all the regions they serve. With the partnership renewal, it will be possible to continue combining our high-quality, sustainable refrigeration solutions with the advantage of a distributor with extensive reach,” said Daniel Campos, Commercial Appliances Vice President at Nidec Global Appliance.

Christopher Norbye, CEO of Beijer Ref, commented:

“We are pleased to renew our long-established endeavor and expertise with Embraco and satisfied with the agreement’s growing potential. This fruitful teamwork strengthens our global position and provides refrigeration technicians, installers, and small OEMs with an extensive set of products.”

The most recent initiative from both companies involves expanding the portfolio of condensing units, including unhoused, housed, and silenced options for installers and manufacturers. These solutions cater to indoor environments such as supermarkets and professional kitchens, as well as outdoor settings like gas stations.

“Our task ahead is to expand our product offerings and consolidate our leadership as a company that anticipates trends in the refrigeration market, while offering our customers the most complete product portfolio and serving them best,” Daniel Campos concluded.
